The Madison Area Music Association will honor and showcase area musicians of all ages and genres at the 2019 MAMA Awards on Sunday, June 9th in the Capitol Theater of the Overture Center. Madison's version of the Grammys will kick off at 5:30pm with a Red Carpet celebration where musicians and fans can mingle until the show begins at 7pm. There will be 7 musical performances from emerging and well-established Madison-area artists, including Wurk (funk-fusion), Help Desk (rock), KiloakaSkitL'z (Hip Hop), Johannes Wallman Quintet featuring Rob Dz (jazz mixed with spoken-word), Robert J. and The Band of the Free (Americana), The Tony Castaneda Latin Jazz Band (Latin), Mosaic Chamber Players (classical).
