New duo album, "Holding Space," scheduled for release on Feb 7, 2025

Saxophonist Dennis Mitcheltree (L.A.), who is my longest-running musical partner, and I finally recorded a duo album! I’ve been a member of Dennis’s quartet since 1997(!), including playing on three of his albums and doing countless tours and gigs, and Dennis played a key role on my Love Wins album. We have also done a couple of tours as a duo, and the musical chemistry you built playing together for two and a half decades is something very special, so a duo album felt overdue!

Recorded in July 2023 at the Hamel Music Center in Madison, WI, the album features all original compositions by Dennis and me, as well as three tracks with guest trumpeter Russ Johnson.
